About Me

Headshot.jpg

I was born and raised in Florida and grew up surrounded by theatre and art. My mom, a drama teacher, had me work on every aspect of the show backstage, from set to sound to stage management. With every show I worked on or had the privilege to see, my love for theatre grew. I’ve worked as a stage manager, board op, and costumer. As a student at Flagler College, I am working to continue my work as a costume shop assistant and expand my portfolio and experience as a costume designer.

My love for theatre has merged with my love of books and history with my research into historical costuming. What started as late-night Wikipedia deep dives has grown to a genuine passion for discovering history through the fashions of the time. In my free time, I also unwind and practice my voice acting, writing, and improv as a Dungeon Master with my home games of Dungeons and Dragons – I also use map-making as practice for set design and drafting, and character design as an exercise in figure drawing and costume design. My greatest passion uniting all of these hobbies is a desire to tell a story and create a new world, using words, art, or fabric.

“What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not. We ask the public to believe that every time they see a performer on the screen, he's become a different person.”
